RSPro® HexaTraction Basic Edition, 10 Pack (Clear)

HexaTraction is a surf wax alternative. Avoid the mess of wax with this translucent and minimally abrasive traction. One kit contains nine individual 6.3" Hexagons (measured from tip to tip across) and two half-Hexagons. Installation is done by scraping off your old messy wax. Then, using a paper towel with rubbing alcohol, the remaining wax residue is to be cleaned. You may need to do this twice, first to get a majority of the wax off then a second pass with a fresh paper towel to get all remaining wax off. We recommend to install it at room temperature. Below 68F (20C) the material and glue tend to get rigid, which will make installation more difficult. Thoroughly clean the area with alcohol or similar. Make sure no wax is present. Avoid industrial cleaners. Before starting, lay out the HexaTraction hexagons choosing the best pattern to cover the area where you need grip and traction. PRO TIP: Peel exactly half of the adhesive backing of the first HexaTraction hexagon, so it will be super easy to align with the board centerline. Pour plenty of water. Plenty! It will help in having no air bubbles. Stick on half of the hexagon making sure to remove all air and water out by rubbing with your fingers and/or cloth. Remove the other half of the backing and squeeze all the air and water out. PRO TIP: Squeeze from the center to the edges or from one side and across so all air and water is pushed out. Using the HexaTraction black star as a template, progress through the deck one hexagon at a time. PRO TIP: Align the template on the side of the hexagon with the adhesive backing still on. Complete the layout using the half hexagons if needed. Allow to dry (not in the sun) and let it cure for a few hours before heading out in the water.
