- APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Wrap standard plastic wrap around the tree trunk to create a flying insect trap seal. Utilize a slotted spreader to spread insect barrier adhesive over the wrap uniformly and as close to the edges as possible. Use a 3/16" spreader for spotted lanternflies or a 1/4" spreader for cankerworms. When it comes time for removal, simply cut the bug bands with a knife, dispose, and create new glue traps for bugs if necessary
