Traction broaches are employed to create precise keyway grooves in boreholes on a chuck press or workshop press. The typical application involves inserting a keyway groove into gear wheels or belt pulleys. This is achieved by placing a matching diameter sleeve in a prepared component borehole and pressing the conical traction broach through the guide groove. We offer various sets of traction broaches with keyways that collectively cover a range of 6 to 65 mm.
